Midland Tree Surgeons was founded in the late sixties and has grown to a size that now has the capacity to offer a comprehensive range of tree care solutions throughout the United Kingdom. We are pleased to undertake jobs of any size and pledge that all customers will receive a high standard of care and attention. We operate from modern, well equipped offices and all our plant & machinery are maintained in our own workshops.
Whilst every effort is made to control hazards, tree work is in its nature potentially of high risk, therefore for your ultimate protection we ensure the following:
1. All staff are suitably experienced and hold the necessary certificates / qualifications
2. Fully insured (Certificates available on request) to include:
· Public and Product Liability (£5m)
· Employers Liability (£10m)

Robert Kennedy
Robert founded Midland Tree Surgeons in the late sixties and has acquired a wealth of experience in all aspects of the tree industry. He was elected Chairman of the Arboricultural Association in 1995 and had previously served on their Professional Committee for several years.
He is constantly striving to keep the company up to date with current legislation and all the necessary accreditations for modern day Arboriculture.
Ben Bennett
Ben's qualifications include a BSc Hons. degree in Forestry and the Royal Forestry Society's Certificate in Arboriculture. In 2009, he attained the standard for Elite Practictioner for the internationally recognised Visual Tree Assessment methodology taught by Prof. C Mattheck.
He was a Tree Officer in Local Government for several years before joining Midland Tree Surgeons
in 2003.
Ben is now considered an expert in the management of protected trees and all other matters relating to planning and development. He has acted on behalf of both Local Authorities and Private Clients as an expert witness in Court (Magistrates & Coroners) and has also attended public planning enquiries.
He prides himself on promoting a pragmatic, yet a professional approach to problem solving and understands the importance and value of effective communication with all his clients.
Tom Morrison
Tom has a BSc Hons Degree in Forestry, that he achieved following several years gaining experience as a practical arborist. He is also a Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association (M.Arbor.A)
Tom has been with Midland Tree Surgeons since 2006 as part of the Consultancy team. He specialises in the health & structural assessment of trees as well as resolving planning and development issues.
Tom's role includes overseeing work for both private clients and local authority contracts.
